Welcome to La Crescent Animal Rescue

Thank you for visiting LAR's website!  Here's a list of our events and fundraisers.  Volunteers, donors and friends are encouraged to attend.

Open House!
April 12, 10am-2pm
Come on down to the rescue for our Spring Open House!  Meet the animals and volunteers, and perhaps bring home a new family member!  Buy some sweets from our bake sale.  We are also going to show ways of being more environmentally sustainable with our pets, including a DIY craft table to make cat toys our of reused and recycled materials.  So bring the kids with, and we'll keep them busy crafting!  We will have other information available and added as the date gets closer, so make sure to check out the events link at our Facebook page!

We do a lot of our pet meets by appointment.  We are happy to make an appointment if you would like to see any of our animals. If you're interested in an animal that is in foster care, we will make arrangements with the foster parent for  you to see the animal and start the adoption process.

HERE ARE SOME WONDERFUL WAYS TO HELP LAR !!

How can you help? Your involvement and support is requested, needed, and appreciated!  If you are 16 or older and can help out, please fill out a volunteer application.  Our volunteers run the shelter.  We need you to help clean and care for the animals, to help fundraise, to help spread the word about adopting, fostering, and the importance of spaying and neutering all pets.

    • Donate!  As you know, we are all volunteer and supported only by donations.  Our average vet bill is over $1500 a month, so we truly appreciate and need your help caring for our animals.

Many companies provide matching funds.  This is a wonderful way to double your contribution to LAR.  Please ask your employer if they would contribute!
    • Buy a Kwik Trip Gift card from LAR.  We sell $25 and $100 gift cards for face value.  Helping us doesn't cost you anything!

Meet our Barkers and Meowers! For the most current list of our adoptable animals, please visit Petfinder.com

    • UPDATES: We are working to update our site and Facebook page to enhance your experience and give our animals the best chance of success in finding their forever home. We would love to hear your suggestions! Send us a message with your thoughts!
